Michael Bolliger, Head of EM Asset Allocation, UBS Global Wealth Management (Read interview here)

Michael heads the emerging markets asset allocation team at UBS Chief Investment Office. The team is responsible for the asset allocation within the emerging markets across asset classes and regions and contributes to the UBS House View on emerging market assets. Michael is a regular contributor to numerous financial media, including CNBC, Bloomberg, or the WSJ. 

Michael joined UBS Global Wealth Management Research in March 2009 as an emerging market analyst. Prior to joining UBS, Michael started his professional career at the Swiss National Bank in 2003 as an economist and he worked for the Spanish central bank and for the University of St. Gallen. 

Michael holds a PhD in economics from the University of Basel. His thesis focused on asset-pricing models for fixed income markets. Earlier he studied economics and econometrics at the University of St. Gallen, where he received his master's degree. He also participated in an exchange program at the WITS Business School in South Africa.

Prof. Simon Chadwick, Professor of Sports Enterprise & Co-Director of Centre for Sports Business, Salford University Manchester (21 June, 1.30pm BST)

Simon is Professor of Sports Enterprise at Salford University Manchester, where he is also a Co-Director of the Centre for Sports Business. He is also a Senior Fellow of the China Policy Institute at the University of Nottingham, where he founded and co-directs the China Soccer Observatory. Simon has also worked with numerous organizations involved in sport including Mastercard, FC Barcelona, UEFA, Adidas and his views on sport are frequently covered by the international media.



 

David Pears, Senior Lecturer in Sports Science and Coaching, University of Bedfordshire (22 June, 10am BST)

David Pears has worked at the University of Bedfordshire since 2006 and is currently a senior lecturer in the School of Sport Science and Physical Activity with responsibility for coordinating all academic study of coaching and player and match analysis. David’s research interests centre on coach behaviour and action decision making in elite youth sport, particularly football.

A communications and marketing specialist with over 15 years experience working at the highest level in Premier League football, with overall accountability for external global media relations, internal communications, issue and crisis management and public affairs work. 

Extensive knowledge across a broad spectrum of disciplines offering expertise in the areas of commercial marketing, brand marketing, the digital landscape, sponsor relationship management and brand activation and also across senior level relationships with key personnel in national governing bodies, the political arena and national and international media.  

Consultative experience working with high profile individuals and teams in professional sports, advising on all matters relating to positive profile amplification through media relationships, digital presence and commercial engagements.
